Food in Taiwan Day 2

Honestly, Taipei 101 isn’t that great. I think the real highlight of Taipei 101 is Din Tai Fung. I waited an hour for 小笼包. Any other restaurant, I would’ve walked away and said it isn’t worth the wait. But this was totally worth the wait. 小笼包 (xiao long bao) aren’t the potsticker dumplings you get at Bo Lings. It’s a soupy dumpling. Every time I eat 小笼包 I burn my tongue or the roof of my mouth.

Din Tai Fung is known for hand- making each and every 小笼包 and other dumplings as soon as you order it. They aren’t frozen or prepped beforehand. If you go to Taipei 101 and not go to Din Tai Fung, I would say that you’ll regret it.
